For someone who first bought a dishwasher, it is worthwhile to understand a very important rule: no matter how good the dishwashing liquid by hand is, you should never use it in the machine, as this will not only affect the cleanliness of the dishes, but will also cause damage cars pretty soon.

Before you start washing dishes, you must prepare the device for use. Namely - pour salt and pour rinse aid. The first will help reduce the hardness of the water, which will improve the washing result, the second will help to avoid the appearance of a cloudy coating on clean dishes. How to do this is written in the instructions that came with the dishwasher, but most often the salt is poured into a hole specially designed for this purpose at the bottom of the machine, and for the rinse aid there is a separate vessel enclosed in the appliance door.

Now it remains to decide which detergent for machines to give preference. The modern market presents a variety of not only brands, but also the forms of dishwashing detergents. The most common of these are powders and tablets. There are also capsules, but due to their similarity with tablets and due to the higher price of great popularity, they have not gained. In general, both powder and tablets wash dishes equally well. And each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. Powder requires constant dosing. This is good and bad at the same time. It is much easier to drop a pill than to measure out the required amount of powder each time with a glass or a spoon. On the other hand, if the machine is not fully loaded or the dishes are not very dirty, the amount of detergent can be significantly reduced, which will help reduce the cost of washing the dishes.

Pills bribe users with ease of use, some of them don’t even need to remove the plastic packaging, it itself dissolves under the influence of hot water. In addition, they often have a combined composition. For example, “2 in 1” products contain powder and rinse aid, and “5 in 1” also contains salt, anti-corrosion protection for glass and bleaches. But everything has its price and the use of tablets instead of powder significantly increases the cost of washing dishes in the car, and everyone is free to choose what to give preference to - convenience or economy.
Useful advice
Although salt is stated in multicomponent tablets, do not neglect the recommendations of dishwasher manufacturers and save without first filling it in the machine. The harder the water, the more salt is required to soften it, and it is not at all a fact that a sufficient amount of it will be in the tablet.
