Before purchasing an oven, you probably think about which model is better - gas or electric? And it is not for nothing that this question is relevant when choosing an oven, because each of the models has both advantages and disadvantages. And in order to make the right choice, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the functional qualities of such a technique.

The kitchen is a frequently used room, because it is here that housewives create their culinary masterpieces. However, in any kitchen, home appliances must be present, and the oven is no exception.

Perhaps the most popular in everyday life is a gas oven, perhaps due to the fact that its cost, unlike electric models, is lower by 20-30 percent. The buyer is also attracted by the ease of use of such an oven, since it has a minimum of functions, and temperature control is carried out with just one regulator.

An important advantage of a gas oven is its rapid heating and, as a result, food cooks much faster. This happens because the food is actually cooked over an open fire.

But, like other gas equipment, a significant drawback of the oven is the high explosiveness. The operation of gas appliances requires the implementation of strict rules. It is highly recommended that you do not install a gas oven yourself; it is better to use the services of a qualified craftsman.

If the oven is not properly connected to the gas pipeline, a gas leak can occur, and the consequences can be very disastrous.

The ease of use of a gas oven is both a positive and a negative side. Here is an example of some of the disadvantages:

- it does not seem possible to adjust the temperature you need;

- gas ovens are rather quickly polluted;

- in the process of gas combustion inside the oven, soot forms, which is very difficult to wash.

The first difference between gas and electric ovens is appearance. The electric model has a large number of various buttons and switches, all of which serve to control the oven and various cooking functions with minimal energy consumption. Such a number of options, even for a novice cook, will make it possible to feel like an exquisite chef.

An electric oven provides uniform cooking. Equally important is the ease of connection, unlike a gas oven. It is possible to adjust the temperature with an error of 2-3 degrees. Gas plaque does not form, the oven retains its original appearance for a long time. Explosiveness is completely excluded, and the likelihood of a fire from a modern electric oven is minimal.

We can conclude that the electric oven is an absolutely safe and easy-to-use equipment that has wide functionality.

Despite all the advantages, the cost of electric ovens is an order of magnitude higher than that of gas counterparts. Another drawback is the dependence on the supply of electricity, in some areas there may be interruptions in electricity due to certain circumstances.

The moment has come when it is necessary to decide which oven is still better. What is the cost to count on? And do you need to save on security? Obviously, an electric oven outperforms a gas oven in many ways. But still, the gas model has its advantages, which are worth considering. When choosing an oven, do not forget that such a technique in the interior should look perfect and suit the style with other kitchen items.
