Flatten around the bottom of the pan around the hole (tin the junction).

If you need to solder an aluminum pan, keep in mind that this is somewhat more difficult, since aluminum is difficult to solder. So that an oxide film does not have time to form on the surface, immediately after cleansing the junction, immediately fill it with pre-melted rosin. Solder with a very powerful soldering iron (at least 100 W). Use solder made from 80% or 95% tin, 20% and 5% bismuth, respectively. Choose a flux from stearin or paraffin. If all these conditions are met, you can easily solder the aluminum pan.
