Instruction manual

1

If the gap on the sheepskin coat is too large, it is more expedient to take it to a specialized repair studio. However, often the skin on the sheepskin coat is torn by a small corner. You can deal with such a defect yourself.

2

Using a toothpick, carefully align the edges of the gap with each other and fasten them with a piece of adhesive tape. So that he does not leave marks on the sheepskin coat, first glue it once on his own hand. So the tape will not be too sticky.

3

Turn the sheepskin coat inside out and carefully cut the sheepskin at the break point with scissors. Remove the remaining fur with a razor with an ordinary blade. Unfortunately, the patch will now flaunt on the wrong side of your sheepskin coat. But you should not worry much about this, because it will not be visible to others.

4

Take a small piece of suede, in size it should be slightly larger than the gap in the sheepskin coat. Apply glue to it. Do not use superglue as it hardens instantly when applied. You will not have time to adjust the patch, in addition, this glue after drying becomes stiff. Apply a piece of cloth with glue to the inside of the hole and press firmly. Wait for the glue to set.

5

Peel off the adhesive tape on the front side of the hole, do this with extreme accuracy. For the convenience of applying glue, drop it on a cardboard. Pull the edges of the hole a little and use a little toothpick to glue a little glue on them. Press the gap. Residual glue should be removed immediately from the surface of the sheepskin coat. Now it remains only to wait until the glue has completely dried.

note

If the gap after repair is too striking, try tinting it with special paint.

Useful advice

As a basis, you can use not only a piece of suede, but also ordinary fabric. Only it should not be very dense. Instead of “Moment” glue, you can use special glue for leather products.
