Holiday events or candlelight dinners can leave very pleasant memories. But small spots on clothing, carpet or tablecloths will add some bitterness to them. To remove stains from wax, stearin and paraffin, special chemicals are not required.

Take the dirty thing. Use a sharp knife to scrape off a layer of paraffin or stearin.

The most effective way to remove wax stains is to remove them using a hot iron. Spread the stain item on the ironing board. Place a napkin in 2 layers under the stain. Place a cloth under it so that the wax does not pass onto the ironing board. Cover with a napkin and cover it all with a piece of cloth. Iron the paper with a hot iron. It is recommended that you set the temperature indicated on the label of your product.

Iron the stain until it disappears, while changing the paper as often as possible. If the spot is small, use a heated blade of a table knife instead of an iron or attach a spoon heated in boiling water. A stain of colored wax that leaves a deeper mark, process as described several times. It is better to treat it with methylated spirits.

Not for all types of fabric, the hot iron method is suitable. Remove wax stains on plush or velvet with warm alcohol or turpentine. Wax just dissolves in them. From other fabrics, such as silk, the stain can be cleaned with cologne.

To remove wax or paraffin stains on the carpet, use a method similar to removing stains from clothes, that is, iron the stains with a hot iron with frequent replacement of napkins or blotting paper. Use a hair dryer to melt the wax instead of the iron.

Be patient in case of removing wax stains with cold. To freeze the wax, use ice in a bag so that the wax does not get wet when the ice melts. Chop the frozen wax and remove the crumbs on the carpet with a vacuum cleaner. Repeat the procedure a number of times.

First, gently scrape off the stains from the furniture with a knife, without scratching the surface, the upper layer of wax. Then melt the residue with a hairdryer and pat it with absorbent paper.
