Silicone has been widely used in building structures due to its water-repellent properties. It is also used at home during repairs, but with careless handling leaves greasy spots. You can get rid of them using improvised means and special solvents.

Clean the stains of silicone from the tiles. The complexity of the work will depend on the size and age of the contamination. A stain that looks like a frozen thick drop or puddle, try to pry off with a knife. If you are lucky and it is completely behind the tile, wipe these places with the hard side of the sponge using any detergent. Scrape off old traces with a metal spatula or knife, dampening the stains with acetone or mineral spirits. Remove hardened residues with a special tool. Dissolution time depends on the area and thickness of the contamination. Remove the soft stain with a spatula or knife. Repeat the procedure if it was not possible to achieve the desired result the first time. Clean the instrument with a paper towel or rag.

Clean the silicone stain from the car glass. After carelessly sealing the windows, oily stains often remain. Combine different cleaning methods. Start with the mechanical action: gently scrape off the thick layers with the blunt side of the knife. If there are cloudy traces of stains, wipe them off with the hard side of the dishwashing sponge. Try removing stains with acetone. Moisten an ordinary cosmetic disc with a small amount of liquid and carefully remove plaque. After that, wipe everything with a wiper.

Clean the silicone from clothing. It is easy to remove the fresh stain if you have not rubbed it into the fabric. Pull soiled clothing at the site of contamination. A greasy stain, stretching, will turn into a film and you can easily separate it from the clothes. Effectively cope with the old remnants of silicone will help the cold. Pack the stained item in a clean bag and put it in the freezer compartment of the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Stretch cold clothing in a soiled area and remove the film.

Before using acetone to clean the machine glass, make sure that it does not damage the paint. Handle this fluid carefully, do not allow the waterlogging of the cosmetic disc.
