Instruction manual

1

Take a solution of oxalic acid (2 tablespoons per 1 glass of water) and a solution of potash (1 tablespoon per 1 glass of water). Mix both solutions and soak in it a piece of clothing where there is a rust stain. Hold the fabric until the stain disappears, wash as usual with detergent. If you do not find potash on sale, replace it with caustic or baking soda.

2

Wrap a slice of lemon in gauze. Apply cheesecloth with lemon to the stain. Take a walk on the gauze with a hot iron. Now, if you are processing a white cloth, wipe the stain with additional hydrogen peroxide. Hold the clothes for 10 minutes and place them in the automatic machine or wash in your hands with powder and subsequent rinse.

3

Dilute the vinegar essence in water (2 tablespoons per 1 cup of water). Heat the solution in the microwave until hot. Place the contaminated area of clothing in a hot solution for five minutes. Rinse clothes in water with ammonia (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of water).

4

Mix salt and juice from squeezed lemon. With the resulting mixture, wipe the rusty stain on the clothes. Leave the mixture on the fabric for a few minutes and rinse this area of clothing with warm water.

5

Do not use chemical bleaches to remove rust stains. Usually they do not cope with the task, leaving a yellow stain on the clothes. If you decide to resort to industrial substances that eliminate rust on the fabric, instead of household ones, then you should buy exactly those that are intended for this procedure. In any case, after manipulating the rust stain and the products that remove it, wash the fabric in warm water, then rinse it with fabric softener.

note

It is possible to eliminate with the help of the aforementioned means both fresh spots from rust and old ones. Do not use these products on clothing in places where there are metal rivets, locks. They may form new rust spots around themselves due to the effect of acid on them.
