Stains from fuel oil can greatly ruin the appearance of clothing. It is possible to remove such complex pollution with the help of improvised means, with a little effort and patience.
You will need
Eucalyptus oil, butter, refined gasoline, ammonia, acetone, white clay, starch, turpentine, laundry soap, caustic soda.

Apply eucalyptus oil to the cotton pad. Treat a fresh stain from fuel oil to complete disappearance. Then wash in warm soapy water and rinse.

Apply butter or margarine to the oil stain. Leave until all contamination disappears. Then wash clothes in a warm soapy solution and rinse.

At a hardware store, purchase refined gasoline. Dampen a cotton swab in it and treat fresh stains from fuel oil. Repeat the procedure if necessary. Then wipe with ammonia. Wash clothes in warm soapy water and rinse.

Get caustic soda from the hardware store. Treat the contaminated area with a cloth. Then wash clothes in a warm soapy solution and dry.

Treat the oil stain with laundry soap until it disappears completely. Then wash the clothes in the usual way and dry.

Take in equal proportions potato starch and white clay. Add a few drops of turpentine and ammonia. Mix thoroughly and apply to a contaminated area of fabric. Leave for a while. Then use a brush to remove powder from clothing. Repeat the procedure if necessary. Wash the fabric in a warm soapy solution and dry.

Take white spirit or any solvent available, such as acetone. Using a cotton pad, apply to a stain and gently rub. Then wash with powder for heavy soiling. On colored fabrics, test the product from the wrong side or in an inconspicuous place.

Do not attempt to remove the oil stain with a normal wash. Pollution is more absorbed into the fibers of the fabric and it will be more difficult to remove it.
