Aligning plywood when laying the floor is a rather laborious process. If the coating is not put correctly, bumps and waves form, which can significantly reduce the life of the plywood and spoil the appearance of the floor.

Instruction manual

1

To make the plywood fit perfectly evenly, lay it on a concrete screed or on a rough floor. Laying on the logs or bars forming the frame is not recommended. A laminated veneer board may bend and break.

2

If the rough or concrete floor is fairly even and the differences do not exceed 2 cm at the highest point that you can check with the laser level, use a leveling mixture for the bulk floor. It is easy to apply, dries quickly and allows you to perfectly smooth out small drops.

3

For differences of more than 2 cm, make a concrete screed. Put the beacons from the profile, fill. After 28-30 days, perform the final leveling using the mixture for bulk floors and after 48 hours proceed with the direct leveling of the floor with plywood.

4

Fasten sheets of plywood with a special glue intended for veneer, or with self-tapping screws if you will lay a floor covering on a wood-laminated panel or make an additional finish from another material.

5

The distance between the plywood sheets must be at least 2 mm. During operation, tightly laid sheets will come into contact with each other, making an unpleasant creak, and you will have to do the repair again.

6

Plywood is prone to getting wet, which can cause mold. To prevent this from happening, immediately after completing the work, prime the wood-laminated plate and treat it with an antiseptic.

7

Finish as you wish. On plywood, you can lay laminate, parquet, carpet or other decorative materials intended for the floor. It is permissible to operate the plywood without additional finishing, for this it needs to be coated with linseed oil in two layers and painted with floor paint. Painted plywood does not differ in operational properties from wood slabs, while its cost is much cheaper.
