There are several methods of planting without land that experienced gardeners know. For all methods, a specific substrate, a “soil substitute, ” is used instead of the soil mixture. Consider two substitutes: sawdust and toilet paper. On them we can grow onions 30-35 cm high.

Rules for growing green onions in a mobile garden:

· Choose a bow with a diameter of 2-4 cm.

· You can grow any variety, winter, summer. You can choose onion sets.

· Before planting, onions must be selected and carefully trimmed dry onion neck.

· The onion must be planted in a "bridge" way, that is, very close to each other.

The first way to grow onion without soil is to grow in sawdust. You can grow onions in a box, container or in a plastic bag. This is called a mobile bed. Sawdust can be taken any (wood, coniferous trees or others). The order of distillation in sawdust is as follows:

1. First you need to prepare sawdust. To do this, they are poured with boiling water and allowed to cool to room temperature. Sawdust should be moistened, but not floated in water.

2. Next, in a selected container, for example, moistened sawdust 1-2 cm is placed in a plastic container.

3. Bulbs are planted in dense rows, slightly buried in sawdust.

4. Install the mobile bed in a warm place without drafts.

5. Moisturize the sawdust 1-2 times a week, depending on the air temperature in the apartment.

Tip. If there is no suitable container, then you can plant the onion on the feather directly in a plastic bag. Only in this case, the bag must be tied and the sawdust is not moistened additionally while the bag is tied. Inside the package, a greenhouse microclimate is formed. If the greens rested on top of the bag, then you can untie it and grow green onions in an open bag. However, in this case, it is necessary to moisten the sawdust periodically.

The second way of growing without land is the option of using toilet paper instead of soil. The whole technology is the same as with sawdust, with the only difference being that they use moistened toilet paper instead, laid on the bottom of the container in several layers. In this case, green onions can also be grown in a plastic bag or container.
