After painting the room, sometimes for a long time there remains a smell of paint, which is not only unpleasant, but also harmful, it may well make you sick and dizzy. If you need to eliminate the smell of paint as quickly as possible, use the following tips.

The most effective way is to ventilate the room by arranging a draft (so that air is blown out of the painted room through the window, and not into the corridor). If the wind is blowing from the wrong side, or it is not possible to arrange a draft (for example, all windows face one side), turn on the fan at the wall opposite the window and blow the smell out into the street. Within a few hours, the room can be located without harm to health.

Spread charcoal or salt in the room, they absorb odors. Of course, salt after such use will have to be thrown away.

Hang towels or sheets (which are not too bad) in the room dipped in water and vinegar. Every 4 hours, towels should be re-moistened.

Rub or chop the head of garlic and leave in the room overnight. Instead of garlic, you can use onions. Please note that leaving acutely smelling onions and garlic is not worth it near furniture and bedding, they can also absorb this unpleasant aroma.

Take large bowls, pour water into them and add salt. Consider, the larger the surface area of the water, the more effective this remedy for the smell of paint will help. Change the water several times a day.

When the furniture or objects painted with oil paint have dried, wipe them with a solution of mustard, diluted with vinegar or ammonia. In this case, do not mix different means, use only one of them.

Place candles in reliable wide candlesticks in the room and leave them to burn out completely. Be careful when working with fire.

You can try to interrupt the smell of paint. To do this, open the bag of coffee (note that coffee can absorb an unpleasant odor), apply a drop of perfume to the light bulb and turn it on, use an air fragrance.

To reduce the spread of odors, put the used brushes in a plastic bag and tie it tightly. Carefully close the ink tank, even if it is already empty. Do not drain the water remaining after cleaning brushes and containers into the toilet or sink, as the paint will simply settle on the pipes and the smell will spread for a long time.
