If the blinds are made of fabric
The most common type of fabric blinds - vertical blinds. They are very decorative, elegant and spectacular, but it is they who give the owners the most trouble with leaving.
Since the fabric for the blinds is specially prepared (dust-repellent, dirt-repellent, etc. impregnation), washing can damage this special layer. So, it is worth resorting to washing only as a last resort. How to clean up the spots that have appeared?
If the spot is small, you can try removing it with a stationery eraser.
If the fabric is heavily soiled and you are not afraid to spoil it (“There will be no worse!”), You can try to carefully wash the lamellas. Remove each fabric plate from the slider, remove the chain and weights, roll it into a roll (each separately!). Dip the rolls in a soap solution and leave for an hour. The dirt will go away by itself. You just have to rinse the lamellas with clean water and hang them on the runners when wet so that they dry upright and not become deformed.

Do not use cleaning agents when washing lamellas, otherwise unpleasant stains will remain on them.
If the blinds are plastic
Plastic blinds can be vertical or horizontal, but in any case it is a pleasure to take care of them: plastic does not require any labor-intensive procedures.
- Wipe with a cloth or vacuum.
- If the contamination is significant, you can use water or soapy water.

Some housewives, if the plastic blinds are very dirty, take them off together with the cornice and wash them in the bathroom under the shower. It is not right! It is absolutely impossible to wash the moving mechanism itself. Only lamellas can be washed under the shower, having previously removed them from the cornice.
If aluminum blinds
Aluminum horizontal blinds, as well as plastic, do not require special care. Recommended:

Washing with hot water in aluminum blinds is contraindicated!
If the blinds are made of wood
