Polished furniture is very delicate: its cover is easy to scratch. Just the right care will extend the life of this piece of furniture and retain its luxurious appearance for a long time.

To refresh the furniture, use special purchased products, for example, Sparkle or Gloss paste, Polish-2, Penol, etc. Put a small amount of refreshing agent on the furniture and lightly surface the surface.

Bring back the shine of polished furniture with a mixture made from 50 g of wheat germ and a liter of water. Place the wheat germ in an enameled bowl, fill with water and bring the composition to a boil. Then cool the broth and wipe through a sieve. Put the finished product on polished furniture and treat the surface with a soft cloth.

To remove stains, use a stain remover consisting of vinegar, turpentine and linseed oil. To cook it, mix 3 tbsp. oil with 3 tablespoons vinegar, then in the mixture, enter 3 tbsp. turpentine. Put a small amount of this stain remover on a cloth and wipe the surface with it (rub the stains until they completely disappear). After that, walk along the surface with a dry paper towel.

To preserve the novelty of the furniture, treat its surface with a preparation made from a small piece of wax (the size of a walnut) and a glass of beer. Pour beer into the wax and place the container on a small fire. When the wax melts and the product boils, remove the dishes from the heat and cool the mixture to a comfortable temperature. Apply a warm mass to the surface of polished furniture, and then wipe it with gentle circular movements (use a woolen cloth).

If suddenly hot tea or coffee stains remain on the polished table surface, remove them with a cotton pad soaked in vegetable oil and sprinkled with fine salt. Then wipe the surface to be cleaned with a dry soft cloth.

Talcum powder will help cope with finger stains: wipe the polished surface with a dry cloth with talcum powder, and there will be no trace of stains. And to remove water stains, use wheat flour and vegetable oil (sprinkle the contaminated surface with flour, and then wipe it with a cotton pad soaked in vegetable oil).

In no case do not use abrasive detergents when caring for polished furniture. In addition, do not remove stains with cologne or acetone: because of this, the surface will fade.
Useful advice
Outdated varnish can be updated. First of all, remove the old varnish layer (use fine-grained sandpaper at the same time). Do this very carefully: movements should be directed along the tree. Then cover the furniture with alcohol varnish (make a small swab from linen and cotton wool, soak it with varnish and evenly wipe the restored surface with it). After 40-43 minutes, when the varnish dries, apply a second coat.
