Laminate is a fairly popular material for flooring, which is durable and has many positive characteristics. Laminate floors are fairly easy to clean. However, there are some peculiarities.
Do not use abrasive particles to clean floors from the laminate, as they can scratch the laminate. If such a floor is gently washed and also just vacuumed, then its service life will be from 10 to 25 years. But under the influence of humidity and temperature fluctuations, the coating can be deformed and the service life is reduced. In order for the laminate not to lose its pristine beautiful appearance and excellent properties, it is necessary to remember several rules.
Dry cleaning should prevent sand and dirt from entering the laminate. You need to wash the laminate with warm water, and then wipe it dry. During wet cleaning, water must be constantly changed, not allowing it to become contaminated. Do not use polishing or wax. If you spilled something on the floor covered with a laminate, you must immediately wipe it dry. When processing floors, use only soft fabrics. It is not necessary to wet the floors strongly, as this causes the laminate to swell.
Panels can lose their original appearance from heavy dirt, and coarse particles damage the coating, leaving scratches. In order to avoid this, you can put a carpet or carpet on the laminate, and attach special protectors to the legs of sofas, chairs and tables.
If scratches have appeared on the laminate, then in a specialized store you can buy a special putty. If the scratches are deep enough, it is better to change the board to a new one.
If you spilled paint or oil on the laminate, you can clean it with a nail polish remover or a special solution for the laminate.
Fruit juice, tomato paste, syrup, wine are washed off with a cleaning agent. Adhesive chewing gum or drops of wax must first be cooled, and then gently scraped off the surface, then wipe the laminate with a cloth moistened with warm water.
