But what if glue got on the surface of the table or cabinet when, for example, children were engaged in their creative work? Removing the adhesive is not so easy, and in some cases even impossible. But it’s worth a try, because you can’t leave the item in this form either.

If children use glue in the house, warn them that it can be easily removed from any surface before it hardens. Therefore, when such a nuisance occurs, you should immediately try to clean it. In most cases, for this, it is enough to wet a cloth with warm water and quickly wipe it, and then remove moisture.

If the glue was not immediately removed and it managed to dry, it is more difficult to remove. First of all, think about which surface it needs to be removed from - wood, laminate, plastic or polished furniture, since it is important to consider how this or that material will react to your actions.

If PVA glue is spilled and dried up, it can be removed mechanically from wooden and plastic surfaces. Gently pry off the resulting film and peel off.

The place where the clerical glue has dried up, spray with cold water and wipe with a clean cloth until wiped. This method is good for plastic, laminated or undamaged polished surfaces, but not suitable for unvarnished wood veneers.

Try to clean the dirt from an adhesive tape or sticker first carefully with something not very aggressive, for example, a plastic knife or even a fingernail, a blunt knife. But what remains can be easily removed with alcohol or vodka. Pat them with cotton wool and wipe them. To remove glue from plastic, you can use white spirit or a universal degreaser. After processing with these substances, wipe the surface with a clean, damp cloth.

Remember that solvent is not recommended on plastic. Acetone for this material is also not always suitable. Some varieties of plastic are damaged, so before washing them with glue, try the action of acetone in some inconspicuous place.

If the furniture is made of chipboard or plastic, you can try to remove the glue with a nail polish remover. Naturally, this substance should not be applied to the varnished surface in any case.

To clean the glue residue from plastic or polishing, sometimes ordinary sunflower oil is also used. But at the same time, remember that no fat can be applied to unvarnished wood veneers and unpainted wood - instead of some, you will get other spots.

So, from the surface of any material, it is possible to peel off PVC glue without any problems, if it is carried out in a 15-20-degree frost. Of course, you won’t be able to take out the closet to the street, but a furniture shelf is quite possible.
