Plastic is currently a popular material. It is used in manufacturing, in industry. White plastic products look beautiful, but over time, the plastic begins to turn yellow. No need to despair, there are various ways to clean the plastic from yellowness.
Traditional and harmless ways
- Ethanol. Use it carefully, it may damage the surface. The plastic is wiped with a soft cloth.
- Baking soda and washing powder. These components (1 tablespoon each) need to be poured with a small amount of hot water. Put this solution on products and leave for several hours, then rinse with cool water.
- Laundry soap. It is necessary to soak the soap in warm water, apply to the yellowed lot, and leave for 30 minutes.
Active chemicals
- Use hydrogen peroxide. It cleanses not only yellowness, but also removes greasy stains. A small amount of peroxide must be added to the sponge, if necessary, repeated several times.
- Acetone. The method is quite aggressive. Wear gloves when handling it.
- Vinegar 70%. Ordinary vinegar 9% is not suitable. It poses a danger to humans, so gloves must be worn. The surface is wiped with a cotton pad, and then washed with plain water.
Special tools
- You can use special napkins for computer equipment. They are impregnated with a special solution and do not harm the surface.
- Dishwashing detergents. They are suitable to remove a slight yellowness.
- Car cosmetics. It is sold in any car shop. Such cosmetics perfectly wash and refresh plastic.
Chlorine-containing preparations
- Products containing chlorine bleach plastic well. To do this, grate the surface, and leave for a while, and then rinse with warm water.
- Chlorine and citric acid. It is necessary to mix in equal proportions each agent. Then wipe with this mixture and leave for half an hour, and then wash off the residues.
