Cleaning

The kitchen requires frequent and thorough cleaning. Wash all surfaces (worktops, stoves) that you used while cooking. Try to arrange weekly wet cleaning. Dispose of spoiled food and garbage debris by flushing it in the toilet or throwing it in a bucket. Always wash all used dishes either during cooking or immediately after eating. Store finished foods in the refrigerator, after placing them in an airtight container.

If you fry anything in cooking with oil or fats, dispose of them as soon as you finish. Used oil and fat should preferably be taken out of the house as soon as possible, they are strong sources of odor. Do not use dishwashing sponges for longer than a week, wash towels and tack more often. All of them eventually become sources of unpleasant odors.

Eliminating odors

Untimely cleaning can cause unpleasant odors to permeate various surfaces. In this case, simply wiping them with a damp cloth may not help. The most common source of such odors is the refrigerator. If you have such a problem, remove all products from it, turn it off, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Remember to also rinse all drawers and shelves in it. Then refrigerate any alkaline substance that can neutralize unpleasant odors. For example, pour a small layer of soda on a flat tray and place it in the refrigerator for a day, the smell should disappear. In the future, you can keep an open package of soda in the refrigerator all the time. She will not allow smells to spread again.

Another source of odors can be a bin. This most often happens if you do not use special garbage bags. If you have a similar problem, wash it thoroughly using cleaning products. In the future, try to use trash bags.

If you cannot establish a specific source of smell, but it has spread throughout the kitchen, pour table vinegar into several vessels and place them near each wall. Leave them for about 12 hours, the smell should disappear. For the same purpose, you can boil a mixture of water and vinegar in a ratio of one to one and leave it overnight in the kitchen. Before turning off the stove, let this mixture boil for 1 to 2 hours.
