Unfortunately, no matter how often we wash plastic containers, there comes a time when they start to smell unpleasant. How to wash and clean plastic food containers to get rid of odors?
A simple newspaper helps get rid of the smell in the container. Crumple it and put it in, close the lid. In a couple of hours, the container will be like new.
A good helper in the fight against bad odor is coffee. Pour some ground coffee or beans inside and leave for a day. It can be coated with thick and left in the freezer, the smell will go away.
Wash the plastic container with lemon juice or wipe with a peel. Instead of a terrible smell, only a pleasant citrus aroma will remain.
Make a paste of soda and water, wipe the inner walls of the dishes and leave for a day. Rinse, if necessary, repeat the procedure.
Arrange a “night bath” for your container. Pour hot water and add detergent, shake, leave overnight. Then rinse with plenty of water. If the smell does not go away, repeat the procedure, the container will become like new.
Vinegar also helps to cope with the unpleasant odor in the container. Pour warm water into the container, add a couple of drops of detergent and 40 gr. vinegar. Shake, open the lid and leave for a couple of hours. If the vinegar odor is unpleasant to you, replace it with vanilla.
