Scotch is an irreplaceable thing. That is why almost none, even minor repairs, can do without the use of this tool. However, the traces that adhesive tape leaves on various surfaces can cause great inconvenience when cleaning. To deal with sticky spots allow a few household tricks.
Wedge wedge
Before you start cleaning the surface, it is necessary to remove from the spot the remains of the external (smooth) adhesive tape. However, it is important that there is no moisture or residues of cleaning products in the area after an unsuccessful attempt to wash off the stubborn trace of adhesive tape.
To remove traces of adhesive tape on plastic or glass, the wedge-wedge method helps. Namely, on a sticky area you need to apply a small segment of adhesive tape and remove the strip with a sharp movement from yourself. If the stain did not yield the first time, then the procedure should be repeated.
Oil
Another way is to soak the sticky area in a small amount of oil. It is best to choose vegetable or linseed oil. The component composition does not matter, but the smell can remain on the surface for some time. Therefore, it is better to have a pleasant aroma.
Oil can not be spared, so you can either abundantly pour pollution on it, or apply a small piece of cotton wool, densely soaked with oil. In this form, the sticky stain should stand for 15 minutes, after which the composition, along with sticky traces of adhesive tape, are washed off with soapy water and a hard sponge.
