1

Hand rust removal is usually done with steel brushes or sandpaper. But chemicals like Rust Converters produce the best effect. Before using such a tool, it is necessary to get rid of formation and loose rust with a spatula. Then you need to degrease the surface with gasoline or white spirit. After this, stir the composition and brush it on a metal surface with traces of rust. The surface will change its color to blue-violet. This means that the process has begun.

2

Another remedy is the "Auto Rust Cleaner" paste. Apply it to the surface in the same way, after cleaning and degreasing. The paste layer should be approximately 2-3 mm wide, and should be kept for at least 30 minutes. If the first time it was not possible to get rid of rust, repeat the treatment.

3

Move on. You can prepare the product yourself by making two solutions. For the first take 250 ml of water, in which 52 g of sodium hydroxide, 53 g of ammonium and 40% formalin 200 g are dissolved. Then 250 ml of water are added again. The second composition is a 10% solution of sulfuric or hydrochloric acid. It is necessary to mix a liter of the second with 30 ml of the first solution. Rusted parts must be placed in the resulting composition, having previously been cleaned and degreased. Now wait 10 to 30 minutes and remove the parts. Rinse them with hot water and wipe dry.

The electrochemical method can also remove rust. To do this, attach a small piece of zinc to the rusty part and, together with this piece, immerse the part in water, which is pre-acidified with sulfuric acid. With good contact of the part with zinc, the rust will disappear in a few days. The cleaned part must be washed in water and wiped with a dry cloth.

5

Fish oil is released from commonly available rust control materials. Apply a layer of fat on the cleaned and fat-free surface of the hour for 1.5-2. After aging, the rust will be easy to remove. Fish oil wilts to the entire depth of the rust layer and forms a film under it, which prevents further penetration of rust into the part.

6

One of the most expeditious methods is a 10-minute washing of a rusty part in a solution of chlorine tin (saturated), followed by warm water. Then the part can be wiped dry.

7

Small rust spots are removed with a cotton swab dipped in kerosene or a tampon with crushed charcoal mixed in engine oil. In the second case, the part must not only be cleaned, but also polished.
