How great it is when a child from an early age is drawn to beautiful art. Many parents think so until they discover where all this "art" is poured. The worst thing is when his main working materials are wallpaper and plasticine. But, fortunately, you can remove plasticine from the wallpaper and do not have to resort to plywood.

You will need

  • - a clean paper towel, preferably white;

  • - hair dryer;

  • - grease stain remover (or ordinary dishwashing detergent);

  • - water;

  • - a piece of white plasticine.

Instruction manual

1

If clay remained on smooth wallpaper without a relief, then you can remove them as follows. Firmly attach a clean white paper towel or a sheet of office paper to the place on the wallpaper where there is plasticine. Warm this place with a hair dryer working in medium mode. Under the influence of hot air, plasticine “melts” and sticks to paper, thereby moving away from wallpaper.

2

After you remove the napkin, you will find on the wallpaper only a greasy stain left from plasticine. Gently treat it with a small amount of grease stain remover and warm water. Dry the resulting wet stain on the wallpaper with a hair dryer or wait a while until it dries on its own.

3

If the clay remained on the relief wallpaper (wallpaper with a texture surface), then in order to remove it, you will have to make a little more effort. Take a piece of white plasticine and stick it on top of the plasticine adhered to the wallpaper so that the white completely covers it.

4

With a sharp movement, remove the white plasticine from the wallpaper. You will notice that he pulled some of the other plasticine from the wallpaper. Repeat this action again and again until the white plasticine “pulls” from the colored wallpaper.

5

A grease stain remaining in the place where plasticine used to be, cover with a clean paper towel soaked in water. Warm the place using hot air, that is, a hairdryer. Remove the cloth.

6

Bring the wallpaper clean with a small amount of grease stain and water remover.

note

When you use a white napkin or sheet of paper to clean wallpaper from plasticine, make sure that there are no drawings or traces of pens and pencils (in the case of paper) on them, in no case try to replace them with a newspaper - drawings, traces of pens or even text can remain on the wallpaper. And in place of one problem, you can easily create another.

Useful advice

Even if the wallpaper is not cleared from plasticine to its original state, and some small speck still remains, you can successfully cover it with furniture or flowers. For example, move a chair to this place or put a frame with a family photo on the table, covering the “unfortunate” stain on the wallpaper.
