It is very tempting to build the ground part of the well in the form of a log house. Such a construction allows you to create a certain "village" color to the well, while being the most practical solution.
Before you start digging a well shaft, you should immediately choose how the log house will be made. Most often, for its underground part, such methods of mounting logs are used that are called "in the bowl", "in the paw", or "in the half-tree". This technology is due to the difficulties of establishing protruding parts of the log house inside the well shaft. But for the visible, ground part, it is possible to use almost any method of connection that is available when assembling beams or sanded logs.

When the preparatory work is completed, you should adhere to this sequence of actions. First, a log house is going to the side, having such a number of crowns that exactly matches the depth of the shaft prepared for it. At the same time, there is no need to perform caulking of this part of the log house, since it will quickly begin to rot, which will lead to a deterioration in the drinking qualities of well water.
Because of this, it is necessary to carefully approach the issue of fitting logs. The resulting gaps should not allow the soil and all kinds of foreign matter to pass through. All crowns must be connected with wooden pins. After that, you need to temporarily pin vertical boards to the crowns inside the finished part of the log house. They will not allow the log house to be deformed when its installation inside the mine is carried out.
Then you can carefully lower this part of the log house into the prepared shaft, while not allowing its walls to sprinkle. In the middle of each wall of the lower crown it is necessary to undermine the niches where to lay the supports (the remaining logs will do).
