Bosch products are well established in the Russian market. Even the simplest models of irons of this company have, as a rule, a practical and stylish design, as well as anti-scale and self-cleaning functions. But, unfortunately, even the most reliable equipment once breaks down. If your Bosch iron is out of order - do not rush to throw it away. Try to disassemble the device and identify and fix the breakdown yourself.

Instruction manual

1

Inspect the Bosch iron from the side where the cord comes from. Locate the screws located on the back cover. Remove the bolts with a suitable screwdriver and remove the cover.

2

Check the electric wire and make sure that it is not broken. Examine the cord especially carefully where it exits the plug and the iron body. Make sure that the cord is working with “tones”. If the wire is not working, shorten it by 10-15 centimeters - as a rule, this is enough to fix the problem. Test and reinstall again.

3

Take a sheet of paper and a pencil and schematically sketch the order of connecting the wires - it will come in handy when assembling the device.

4

Remove the temperature control knob. To do this, take the knife, put it under the handle and lift it up.

5

Carefully inspect the Bosch iron and find the screws that secure the chassis to the sole. As a rule, they are hidden under filters, decorative caps or the lid of a water tank. The location of the mounting screws depends on the model of Bosch iron. Remove the bolts with a screwdriver. Remove the iron body.

6

Check if the temperature controller is working. To do this, first turn the control rod to the leftmost position, then to the rightmost position. If the shaft turns too tight, use pliers.

7

Connect the “continuity” to the contacts and, twisting the knob of the regulator, make sure that there is an electric network. If necessary, strip the contacts of the iron with a nail file or sandpaper.

8

Connect the wire “continuity” to the thermal fuse and check its operation. If the bulb does not light up, then remove the thermal fuse and short-circuit the electrical circuit at its installation site.

9

If the electric cord, temperature controller and thermal fuse are working, then the heater has burned out. The heating element of the Bosch iron is rolled into the sole and, unfortunately, cannot be repaired at home.
