Shelf life of iron sulfate is unlimited. Wounds and hollows of trees are treated with vitriol. Another area where iron sulfate is used is viticulture. With a solution of vitriol, the vine is treated from bacterial cancer, cushion, spotted necrosis, etc. If fruit trees are treated with sulfate, this will increase their productivity and restore old diseased gardens.
