Pine with confidence can be called one of the most unpretentious plants adapted to exist in different climatic zones. Today, wild forest beauty can be found in many household plots - it perfectly complements any landscape, towering among ornamental shrubs and hedges.
Pine is easily taken and begins to grow on any soil. This tree feels excellent on the plot even without human intervention and does not need any additional fertilizing, frequent watering and mulching of the soil. Forest beauty is not so terrible and pest plants, and all kinds of fungal diseases. The only thing that is required from the owner of the site is to plant the young pine correctly.
Planting pine on the site
When planting pine on your personal plot, you need to take into account one important point - the tree grows well only in its native soil. In other words, you need to dig a pine along with a certain amount of land, in which the formation of its root system took place. If the tree was purchased in one of the garden centers, then it is necessary to plant it together with an earthen lump from the pot.
Pine planting is desirable in the spring (late April-early May) or in early autumn (September-early October). It should also be borne in mind that without land, the root system of this plant can survive only a very short time - a maximum of 15 minutes. If the soil into which the pine is planted contains a large percentage of black soil or clay, gravel or sand should be poured onto the bottom of the planting pit. As such a kind of drainage pillow, you can use finely crushed brick.
The landing pit can be of different depths - it all depends on the size of the tree. For example, if the height of the pine is 30-40 cm, a pit should be dug up to a depth of 50-60 cm. The drainage layer is about 10 cm. Important: when planting, in no case should the earth cover the root neck of the plant (the transition zone of the stem to the root).
After the young pine has been planted, the soil around it can be decorated with pebbles or small decorative stones. The roots should receive a sufficient amount of water, so it is important not to overdo it with this kind of decor.
