All housewives know that washing a grater is not so simple. A sponge can be torn from rubbing, and you will not find another way to clean out all small particles. Soda comes to the rescue.
You will need
- Pot of at least 2 L
- 1 liter of water
- 3 tablespoons of soda

Pour 1 liter of water into the pan, add soda and bring the solution to a boil.

Put the grater in boiling water.

Boil the grater for 20-30 minutes, depending on the degree of contamination.

We take the grater out of the pan, and wash it with a sponge with detergent.

Wash off the soap solution and dry the grater.

Soda should be added to cold water. If you put soda in boiling water, there will be a violent reaction - the water will boil on the stove.
Useful advice
To clean the grater in this way is recommended at least once a month.
