If you notice that the tulle has turned gray, it is better to repaint it or buy a new one. The fact is that gray is the natural color of tulle, and no matter how much you bleach it, it will not become fresher.

You will need

  • - soap or washing powder;

  • - Zelenka or potassium permanganate;

  • - aniline dye;

  • - tea.

Instruction manual

1

Wash the tulle first. Soak it in warm water, which change immediately as soon as it cools. This should be done several times. Prepare a basin with soapy water, as it is better to wash the tulle by hand. Water temperature should not be higher than 40 ° C. Do not rub the tulle with soap during the washing process, do not twist it even when squeezing it. This can spoil the shape of the curtain (bedspreads, etc.) and the general appearance, even if you are going to repaint it. Rinse the tulle several times in warm running water.

2

Decide what color you want to repaint the tulle. To do this, you can buy special aniline dyes (sold at any hardware store). But if you want to experiment, try using tea, zelenka or potassium permanganate for these purposes.

3

If you bought an aniline dye, read the instructions on the package, open the bag and pour exactly as much powder into warm water as you need to color your tulle. Wait for the powder to dissolve and dip the curtain (bedspread, etc.) into the water. Keep the tulle in the solution for the required time, then gently rinse.

4

After washing, you can repaint the still-wet tulle in a pale cream color. Prepare the tea leaves, pour a liter of boiling water 2 teaspoons of tea. Wait until it is ready, and then strain. Treat the cleanly washed tulle with this solution. Instead of tea, coffee is also suitable (2 teaspoons per liter of boiling water), also filtered. Rinse the cloth and hang to dry.

5

To give the tulle a soft green or lilac color, dissolve a little green or potassium permanganate in a basin of warm water. It is not necessary to dissolve a lot, since the tulle may thus not be dyed evenly. Put the fabric still wet after washing in this solution and wait a while, then remove and rinse it.
