When cleaning feather down jackets do not use aggressive means. If the jacket does not have significant contaminants, you can simply zip away the individual parts - cuffs, collar and the area around the pockets. Apply a little shampoo or other gentle detergent to the cloth. Use a brush to clean the dirt. Then wash off the foam with a damp foam sponge. Hang clothes on a coat hanger and dry at room temperature.

If you need to wash the down jacket completely, hang it over the bathtub and thoroughly lather the material with “Vanish” or liquid soap. Brush particularly contaminated areas. Then rinse the foam with warm water. In this way, you can clean the down jacket efficiently and carefully. Material with a special protective coating will remain almost dry. And if the down jacket is sewn from ordinary fabric, only the top layer of down will get wet.

You can soak a jacket with sintepon filler in a warm soapy solution. In this case, do not leave the product in water for a long time.

If you do not have the time and desire to clean the down jacket by hand, wash it in the machine. For these purposes, it is better to use liquid detergents specifically designed for washing down jackets. They should not include bleach and coloring matter. Washing powders clog micropores and are not completely washed out.

Check the pockets for small objects - they can damage the material. Button all zippers and buttons and turn the down jacket inside out. Put a few tennis balls in the drum of the washing machine. Choose a delicate mode and a temperature of no higher than 30 ° C.

After washing, remove the down jacket and hang it to dry. Never place the product on heating radiators or leave it near a fire source. Beat the filler with your hands periodically.
