But there is one “but”, it adds a lot of trouble and worries to the hostess, as it collects a lot of dust, requires constant care and cleaning. But it’s not always possible to give such an overall thing to dry cleaning, and not everyone takes up this matter. So how do you clean a light carpet at home?

A natural wool carpet is recommended to be cleaned every six months with a soft brush with a medium-length pile. Prepare the following solution: pour a liter of warm water into a small container and add two tablespoons of ammonia. Dampen the brush in the mortar and walk around the carpet. Then wipe it with a cloth dampened in clean water and wipe it with a dry cloth. Leave to dry in vivo.

A light-colored carpet gets dirty quite quickly and is difficult to clean. Therefore, it is recommended to use a carpet cleaner, the principle of which is aimed at collecting dirt particles, dissolving them and lifting them outwards, from where it is quite easy to assemble them with a vacuum cleaner. Carefully read the instructions before use and strictly follow its recommendations. The choice of product depends solely on the material of the carpet, the thickness and length of the pile.

To clean a light carpet, you will need a large amount of coarse salt, which should be sprinkled on it densely. After some time, take a broom, wash it thoroughly in hot soapy water and carefully sweep the salt off the carpet with it. Rinse the broom periodically in water (as it gets dirty).

A dry way to clean a light carpet. Take a laundry soap and grate it on a fine grater. Mix 500 grams of starch and three to four tablespoons of grated laundry soap. Sprinkle the mixture on the carpet and lightly walk with a broom, while not removing the prepared powder, but only distributing it evenly. After an hour, thoroughly vacuum the carpet.

Take some raw potatoes, wash and peel. Grate and pour a liter of clean water. Leave to infuse for two hours, then strain through a sieve or several layers of gauze. Dip the brush into the potato solution and thoroughly clean the carpet. Dry under natural conditions, vacuum. Your carpet looks clean and fresh again.
