Today in specialized stores there are many different models of pillows. Rectangular and square, low and high, with natural and artificial filler. Any of these require care. But if a pillow filled with holofiber can simply be washed in a car, then cleaning down is a little more difficult.
You will need
- - hand wash basin or washing machine;
- - washing powder;
- - gauze bag for feathers;
- - capacity for fluff.

Remove the breastplate from the pillow. Prepare a clean, dry container for feathers and down. Some neck pillow models have zippers for easy care. If not, carefully support one edge of the pillow. Do not make the incision large immediately, because the fluff is very light and it is quite difficult to collect it all over the room. Pour filler into the prepared container.

Shake well and wash. Select the washing program and temperature, taking into account the material from which the napkin is sewn. If mold stains are found on the fabric, it has been rubbed or the bedcloth for more than a year - replace it with a new one.

Sort out the fluff. Disassemble all fallen lumps and discard the litter. Carefully pour down the fluff into the prepared special mesh (gauze) bag and wash it in the machine or hands at a temperature not exceeding sixty degrees Celsius. Do not sprinkle too much washing powder, otherwise the fluff will be very difficult to rinse.

Dry the washed bag with down. It will be better if this happens outdoors. Tumble and shake down fluff frequently during drying to prevent clumping of clumps. It should become light and soft. Do not sew filler into the bedcloth if it is not completely dry, otherwise mold and fungus may form.

Stuff clean pillow-top for pillows. Fasten the zipper or sew on a typewriter or manually a hole in the bedcloth, into which the fluff fell. A clean and updated pillow is ready.
Useful advice
If the fluff in the pillow is contained in special chambers separated by partitions, then such a pillow can be completely washed in a washing machine. To prevent the fluff in the chambers from breaking into lumps, put a few tennis balls in the drum of the machine.
