Most stretch ceilings presented on the modern market of building materials have a special coating that prevents the formation of mold, the development of microbes, as well as dust settling. But as a result of a sloppy uncorking of a bottle of champagne, strong squeezing of a box of tomato juice or blowing bubbles even on the most expensive and high-quality stretch ceiling, various contaminants can form, which can be cleaned using improvised means.

You will need

  • - microfiber, suede fabric or napkin;

  • - a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush nozzle;

  • - soap solution;

  • - soft rag or sponge;

  • - 10% ammonia solution or window cleaner;

  • - soft brush.

Instruction manual

1

If you notice a small amount of dust or small stains on your stretch ceiling, simply wipe the contaminated surface with microfiber, a piece of suede fabric or an ordinary paper towel.

2

It is possible to clean the stretch ceiling from a significant amount of dust formed on it as a result of, for example, repair or construction work, using a vacuum cleaner. Set the appliance to low power, turn it on and, without touching the ceiling surface, carefully clean the ceiling of dust. Use the softest brush head for this.

3

To get rid of significant pollution on the stretch ceiling, for example, stains from juice, you will have to take more serious measures. In a small plastic basin, prepare a soap solution, which may include either ordinary liquid soap, or any detergent, or a mild detergent thoroughly dissolved in warm water. With this solution, using a soft cloth or sponge in a circular motion, without pressing on the ceiling coating, remove any dirt on it. Then rinse the ceiling thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry with a rag.

4

It is also very easy to restore purity and gloss to a glossy stretch ceiling. To do this, very carefully apply a 10% solution of ammonia to the ceiling, wait 2-3 minutes and wipe the ceiling dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Instead of a solution of ammonia, you can use a window cleaner.

5

Use a soft brush to clean dusty or dirty suede suspended ceilings. Do this very carefully so as not to damage the ceiling.

note

Never use sharp or scratching objects (metal sponges, sandpaper, coarse cloths) or chemically active, aggressive or alkaline substances to clean stretch ceilings.
