Nowadays, every second in the house has a gas stove. From time to time, it is necessary to carry out preventive examinations of its operability (the serviceability of the tap by which the gas is blocked, if there are any leaks), because the health of the owners, and most importantly, of life, depends on it. However, in order to protect yourself and your loved ones from problems with a gas stove, you need to take this seriously.

- - gauze mask made of several layers;
- - soap solution (prepared at home) to determine gas leakage;

- - a device for checking the level of placement of a gas stove.

One of the important factors is to check the suitability of the room in which the gas stove is installed and regulated. Check if the ventilation system works well. If there is no hood, be sure to open the windows during the first operation of the gas stove.

Before installing a gas stove, adjust the correctness of its placement relative to the floor surface.

To protect yourself from gas poisoning, be sure to wear a mask, and only then proceed to inspect the gas system.

Lubricate the places with soapy water at the gas line connections, then check if the threaded connections are tight or if there is a gas leak - soap bubbles will begin to inflate at the place of the leak. If the leak is broken, use a tool to fix this problem.

Adjust the level of gas supply to the burner using the valves located on the stove at the time of operation of the gas stove.

If you intend to install a gas stove near other gas sources, it is best to consult with specialists whether the room is sufficiently ventilated to avoid gas poisoning or explosive situations.
Useful advice
If possible, it is better to provide and install grounding (if your stove is auto-ignited) and additional ventilation in the room, as an addition to a window or door that opens outward to avoid gas poisoning and explosive situations. It will be nice if there is an opportunity to install some heat-protective material near the stove. Do not allow gas to burn for more than two hours during first use or after changing the type of gas. Also, from time to time, be sure to invite a specialist to inspect the gas system. It’s not always possible to adjust everything on their own.
