A teapot is a truly iconic piece of kitchenware. The whole family gathers at a table during a tea party. In addition to substances pleasant to taste, tea contains dyes and biological pigments, due to which the drink gets its color. When brewing tea, coloring matter is fixed on the inner surface of the teapot. It is not difficult to wash the kettle, but if you leave it unwashed for a while, removing the dark coating will be more difficult.
How to wash plaque from a teapot
You can wash the tea from the teapot in the dishwasher, to do this, put the kettle in the machine, add detergent (this can be a special tablet detergent or a detergent in the form of a powder or liquid). Set the required temperature, and in the end you will get a clean kettle without unpleasant tea plaque.
For manual cleaning, you can use both liquid dishwashing detergent and powder, but not containing abrasive substances, so as not to scratch the surface of the kettle.
Tea can be washed with special chlorine-based products. To do this, apply a small amount of the product to the sponge, thoroughly clean the outer and inner surfaces of the kettle, leave the product for 10 - 15 minutes, then rinse under running water.
You can wash the kettle with drinking soda. In a separate cup, make slurry from drinking soda and water. Using a sponge, scooping up some slurry, wipe off any contaminated areas.
A mixture of soda (4 tablespoons) and white vinegar (1 cup) will well wash away the coating. Take a large pot and boil water in it. When the water begins to cool, add soda and vinegar to it. Water will start to foam (this is soda and vinegar reacted with each other). Immerse your teapot in a pot and let it sit for a few minutes. Then rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water.
If the kettle is metal, then you can boil Coca-Cola or a sprite in it. They will well clean the kettle from plaque.
Another remedy requiring boiling: pour the kettle with water, squeeze two lemons there, leave overnight, boil.
If the teapot is not metal, you can put a few slices of lemon into it and pour boiling water every time after tea drinking, leave for several hours.
Fine teas help to clean the teapot. To do this, dip a damp sponge in salt and clean from the inside and outside.
