Most of us are familiar with the unpleasant feeling of resentment and frustration when a particular favorite thing gets dirty. Especially when hard-to-remove spots appear, for example, from rust. But do not immediately rush to dry cleaning, as you can try to clean such impurities at home yourself.

Lay rust-stained clothing on a flat surface. Take a lemon, squeeze juice out of it. Moisten a rust stain with plenty. Cover with a napkin and iron. It is likely that immediately get rid of the rust stain will not work. Repeat this process several times. Then rinse your clothes in cold water without adding soap. Then wash the item with highly active powder.

Try removing rust with vinegar. Dilute in a container of water (1 cup) one tablespoon of vinegar. Heat this solution in a water bath almost until it boils (to about 80 degrees). Add some ammonia (one teaspoon) to it. Dip the contaminated part of the clothes in this solution for 5-7 minutes. Then rinse thoroughly under running water. Repeat this procedure if necessary.

Use sodium hydrosulfite to remove rust stains from white items. Add one teaspoon of hydrosulfite to a glass of water. Preheat to 70 degrees. Dip the contaminated area of clothing in a hot solution for several minutes. Then rinse with plenty of warm water. After that, you can wash clothes in the usual way using powder. Do not use sodium hydrosulfite to remove rusty stains from colored clothing, as the fabric may discolor.

To remove rusty stains from colored items, use a mixture of crushed white chalk, water and glycerin. The resulting mixture rub the contaminated area of clothing and leave for about ten hours. Then rinse and wash the item in the usual way.

Use special rust removers. For example, "Vanish", "Antipyatin" and others. These tools are quite convenient to use. Read the instructions carefully before use. And remember that rust stains are best removed immediately after they appear on clothing.
