As you know, over time, cast-iron frying pans become black from accumulated and burned fats that cannot be washed with a liquid detergent, in which case something stronger will be needed. Take a large container into which the pan will fit (basin or large pan) and pour water into it. Lower the burnt utensils, add a handful of washing powder and soda ash, squeeze a tube of stationery glue and put on fire. Boil for two hours. Gradually, soot begins to lag behind the pan, clean it with a wire brush. If desired, the procedure can be repeated.

2

There is another simple way to clean the cast iron pan from carbon deposits, which does not require cash costs. To do this, it is enough to put the pan for a long time in a fire, after which all the carbon will leave. You can apply this method at home, but in this case the whole apartment will be filled with smoke and fumes.

3

You can try soaking a cast-iron pan in a large amount of acetic acid. After two or three days, all the fat and soot will lag behind the pan. You just have to wash it with warm water with the addition of liquid detergents and rinse properly.

4

Today, in many markets you can see on sale a special metal brush, which can easily remove old carbon deposits from a cast-iron frying pan, without requiring special physical effort from you. By the way, if you do not want to make an effort and suffer from cleaning the pan, you can bring it to the market, where you will clean it for a moderate fee.

Useful advice

The easiest way is to properly prepare the pan for further use, then to clean it in every possible way. To do this, you need to burn a new cast-iron frying pan over high heat with salt. When the salt turns brown, clean the pan with not-yet-cooled salt. After that, grease it with vegetable oil and place it in the oven. Thanks to this treatment, food will not stick to the pan.
