Soot is formed not only on tableware, but also on furniture, walls, pipes and other surfaces. You can clean items yourself, using improvised tools or inviting professionals.

Vacuum dirty surfaces without touching the surface, holding the vacuum cleaner half a centimeter away from soot, or use a broom. Lay a newspaper or rag below so that the dirt does not fall on the floor. Do not rub, your movements should be sharp and fast, so you will not leave stains. Shake the soot off the furniture in the same way.

Buy a chemical sponge for soot, it is sold in pharmacies, hardware stores, restoration workshops. You can wash it at high temperatures. When the top layer becomes soiled that it cannot be cleaned, cut off the surface with a blade.

Spread a plastic film on the floor, then wash the dirty surfaces with warm water, in which previously dissolve a little degreaser. Moisten a sponge, rag, or stiff brush gently with the compound.

Wipe the surface with a sponge dampened with room temperature water and then with a dry cloth. Repeat the procedure if necessary.

Take the white spirit, apply it on a cotton swab, better homemade. Roll them over the surface of the spot. Do this carefully so that the soot does not get into the microcracks due to strong friction.

Shake off the soot from the glossy finish (these are on tables, chairs, and other pieces of furniture). Wipe the surface with a soft cloth. Apply a cleaner (Mr. Muscle, for example). Soak in accordance with the instructions, wash and dry.

Start with the floor, and finish it. This is necessary to remove and not trample loose material. Cover with plastic wrap. Wash the floor after cleaning the entire room. To process the tiles, make water with a degreaser. Wash your carpet with a regular furniture shampoo using a carpet cleaner or washing machine. Refresh the wooden floor if it cannot be cleaned.

Repaint the walls, ceiling, cabinets, if they could not be washed. First use a primer-sealant (as an option, Consolit-ZOZ), and then use the paint of the desired shade.
Useful advice
First try each method on an inconspicuous surface. Do everything carefully with rubber gloves on.
