In order to clean the iron from the burnout, disconnect it from the power source and wait for the sole to cool completely.

You can clean the burn on the iron with folk remedies. Take table vinegar and moisten a piece of cloth or a sponge in it, wipe the surface of the iron with them. After that, it remains only to wash off the vinegar and wipe the sole.

Hydroperite tablet helps to remove carbon deposits. On a heated iron, sweep it over the places of soot, as a result of which it exfoliates and is easily washed off with water.

If particles of polyethylene or plastic burned to the sole of the iron when ironing, which can happen when melting decorative elements of clothing, then the surface will have to be rubbed with alcohol or refined gasoline.

After cleaning the surface, first iron a piece of any unnecessary fabric with an iron, as traces of residue may appear. After such a test, you can proceed to ironing casual clothes.

As a cleaning agent, you can use regular toothpaste, apply it on the surface of the sole with a brush. The paste easily copes with carbon deposits, it is only important to wash it off thoroughly, especially if there are holes on the sole of the iron for steam to escape, into which the paste may clog.
Useful advice
It is very convenient to use a special pencil for cleaning the iron, which is sold in hardware stores. They rub the sole, after which carbon deposits are easily erased with any cloth.
