Over time, the pans are covered with greasy deposits and soot, which is difficult to clean. And if you like the pan, nothing burns in it and it’s convenient to cook - do not rush to throw it away, try cleaning it first.

You will need

  • - a large pot or basin;

  • - water;

  • - soda;

  • - salt;

  • - clerical glue or "liquid nails";

  • - brush for metal;

  • - wire mesh;

  • - a drill or grinder with a grinding nozzle;

  • - knife;

  • - sandpaper;

  • - alkali-based chemical agent.

Instruction manual

1

Take a large iron pan or basin and pour water into it, add two handfuls of soda and sodium chloride, a handful of washing powder and a little stationery glue (you can use "liquid nails" diluted in water instead of glue).

2

Place the pan in the pan by first unscrewing the handle. Boil for one to two hours. After the pan brightens, remove it, pour over boiling water and rinse several times in clean water.

3

Clean off any remaining dirt with a brush or wire mesh, rinse again with water. Be sure to bake salt in a pan before the first cooking, otherwise the products will burn.

4

If the carbon deposits on the outside stick very tightly and boiling does not help, try to clean the pan mechanically. On a drill or grinder, install a grinding nozzle in the form of a brush and, fixing the frying pan in a vise, clean off all plaque from it. You can also use sandpaper or a regular knife for this. If possible, use coarser and then finer grinding methods.

5

Try to clean the soot from the pan using chemical household products. Choose the most powerful alkali-based product in the store, for example, “Schumanit” or “Extra”. Before use, be sure to wear gloves and a respirator, remove food away.

6

Put the product on the pan, open the window and leave the room. If the product comes into contact with the skin, immediately rinse under running water and spread with a greasy cream.

7

After a few minutes, check if the product has acted by scratching the pan. If the dirt leaves, clean it with a brush and abrasive sponge, then rinse thoroughly with water several times. Complex pollution can be held for longer - 15-20 minutes.

8

In the field, for example, in the country, try to clean the pan in the old fashioned way - sand, grated brick or ash. Pour the product inside and rub it with crumpled paper or a rag, the particles of the substance will act as an abrasive, cleaning off carbon deposits and plaque.
