Plexiglass is a plastic that has been produced for more than seventy years. It is a translucent or light-scattering transparent synthetic material that almost does not change color under the influence of sunlight. Due to its wear resistance and strength, it finds application in various fields.

Instruction manual

1

To clean the surface of plexiglass, use warm water and a mild detergent. If the surface is simply dirty, simply wipe the plastic with a cotton swab or a soft, natural cloth moistened with warm water. In this case, do not take synthetic material for cleaning, as the surface after too hard wiping can become dull.

2

To clean plexiglass, it is strictly forbidden to use substances containing abrasive particles. Since they can scratch it, which will lead to the loss of initial transparency. Carefully place heavily soiled organic glass in the bathtub and with a rag, wash thoroughly under running warm water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. If for drying the glass is left just in the air, then on the surface after drying there will be stains.

3

It should be borne in mind that dry plexiglass due to friction with a cloth is charged with static electricity. And dust adheres more strongly to such a surface, which, in turn, leads to the appearance of micro-scratches, making the glass dull. Removal of static charge from sheets of organic glass is carried out by blowing the surface with ionized air using a special device.

4

It is best to wipe the organic glass using a special polishing paste, the so-called GOI paste. Apply it in a narrow and thin layer on the glass, and then sand it in a circular motion with a dry and clean soft cloth. This will help polish it and get rid of microcracks on the surface.

5

If there are greasy or oil stains on the surface of the glass, they are degreased with kerosene or gasoline.

note

To clean the surface, it is forbidden to use benzene trichlorethylene and other solvents, since under their influence organic glass will deteriorate.
