The drug has a water-repellent property and is resistant to climatic effects. This tool has a wide color palette: from black to gold. After processing the product with paint, it is recommended to use PERLAKOR varnish, which will increase wear resistance, enhance the water-repellent effect and give the leatherette shine.

If the product made of leatherette has slight scuffs or places where paint has been showered, an aerosol will also help. It will not only update the material, but also smooth its surface, thereby masking scratches and other defects of the material. When treating leatherette with an aerosol, try not to overdo it. Otherwise, the paint layer will turn out to be thick, will soon crack and crumble. To prevent this from happening, it is sprayed from a distance of 20 cm, and the jet is directed at an angle. Care should be taken not to spray twice over the same place, otherwise smudges may form.

Faux leather can be updated with herbal remedies. If it is brown, prepare a decoction of oak bark, crushed acorns or shells of walnut, alder bark. Using various combinations of these raw materials, it is possible to achieve a shade of brown that matches the leatherette color. To update green products, you can prepare a decoction of nettle or aspen bark. Basma is ideal for black leatherette; for cherry, a concentrated solution of potassium permanganate.
