First of all, remove all books from the shelves. Wipe the shelves to remove dust. Dust must also be removed from books. To do this, you can use a large soft brush.

Now we sort the books according to the content, putting them into separate piles of books for children and for adults. Expand each of these piles into piles of dictionaries, educational, cognitive and fiction. We will arrange the books of one series together, so the bookshelf will look more neat. Spelling dictionaries of the Russian language do not mix with dictionaries of foreign languages. Sort scientific and educational literature by topics: biology separately, physics separately, for example.
Large format books do not need to be mixed with small brochures, as a result the library will look untidy.
If there are a lot of books, it is more convenient to arrange them in alphabetical order, having allocated a separate shelf for each section of literature. In alphabetical order, you can arrange books either by the name of the author, or by name, as it is convenient for each specific person.

If among books you find ones that do not represent literary value for you and for which you do not have emotional affection, collect them and turn them over to the library.
