Sparkling vases with flowers adorn the interior, delight and cheer you up. But it often happens that the vases become dirty and do not look aesthetically pleasing. How to clean flower vases?
- Flower vases are mostly washed with conventional dishwashing detergents and warm water. To avoid erasing patterns of unstable paint on glass, it is not recommended to use abrasive products. Liquid detergents, soap, dishwashing gel, or soft, paste-like products are best suited for this purpose.
- Hard limescale, which sometimes forms on the walls and bottom of the vase, can be cleaned with baking soda or coffee grounds from under the drunk coffee.
- Narrow-necked vases are perfectly cleaned with potato broth in their uniforms with the addition of salt and vinegar.
- To remove stubborn dirt inside narrow-necked vessels, you can finely chop egg shells or finely chop newsprint, fill a vase, and pour warm water with detergent. To clean, shake the vessel, closing the hole. Then rinse the contents from the vase. The walls will become clean.
- To remove greenish deposits from the walls of the vase, you need to fill the vase with water and put a copper coin or any other object made of copper on the bottom. After this, let stand for an hour or two, then remove the coating with water and a cloth.
- The crystal vases are rinsed with blue water and wiped with a dry flannel, cotton towel, napkin or piece of woolen cloth.
- To remove contaminants on a vase, especially if they have three-dimensional shapes (for example, porcelain "stucco" elements or handles) it is convenient to use tooth powder and an old toothbrush.
