Not all models of air conditioners support the ability to work on heating. The main sign of the possibility of heating is the presence on the control panel of the air conditioner or the remote control switch "MODE".
The operation of the air conditioner in reverse mode is possible until a certain value of the ambient air temperature is reached, after which the heat transfer becomes ineffective. This disadvantage is deprived of air conditioners equipped with a heat electric heater. Such air conditioners implement the principle of operation of the fan heater, since the air conditioning compressor in this mode is temporarily turned off.
Mode switching
If the air conditioner supports the heating function and the "MODE" switch is present on the control panel, it is necessary to switch its operation mode. When switching the mode, the corresponding indicator should light up, signaling the transition of the air conditioner to work for heating. When using the remote control, the change of mode must be confirmed by a sound signal.
After changing the mode, you can set the optimum temperature and wait for the room to warm up. The latter may take several minutes, since the heating rate in the heat pump mode is lower than when using fan heaters.
