Despite the joy that cats bring to their owners, sometimes pets leave unpleasant traces of their stay in the house.

The urine of cats has a sharp unpleasant odor that does not lend itself to simple washing with water. If you do not find the puddle left by the cat in time, the smell from it will quickly spread throughout the apartment.

First of all, you need to find the source of the unpleasant odor. To do this, you can simply sniff or use a black lamp. If you turn it on in the dark, you will immediately find yellow spots.

Treat the source of unpleasant odor with a solution of vinegar and water in a ratio of 1: 2. So you neutralize ammonia in the urine. Then sprinkle a portion of the floor with soda, and pour on top a mixture of 3% hydrogen peroxide, dishwashing detergent and water in a ratio of 2: 1: 2. Rub the floor with a rag or brush. Leave the mixture to dry completely and then rinse with water. This method is also suitable for carpets, but before that it is necessary to check in an inconspicuous area whether it will discolor from hydrogen peroxide.

Remove a fresh puddle as soon as you notice it. Otherwise, the cat will urinate again in this place. If the pet already has a favorite place, then treat it as described above, and then put a little lemon zest there or drip the essential oil of orange, mandarin, lemon. Cats scare away these smells.

Always keep the cat's toilet clean, otherwise the cat will not use it and relieve the need elsewhere.
