Insects in the products start if you bought cereals or flour infected with larvae in a store or on the market. Bugs can gnaw plastic bags and settle in other products: flour, dried fruits, tea, spices. If this happens, take the following measures.

Look very carefully at all your stocks of cereals, pasta, crackers, flour, dried fruits, spices. Bugs can also be found in sugar, tea, cocoa. Throw away all foods where insects are found. You can’t eat them, even if you burn the cereals in the oven.

Place loose products in which no insects are found in the freezer for 24-48 hours. Only in this way can you be sure that new bugs from larvae and eggs that you did not notice when you visually inspect the cereals will not emerge in them.

Thoroughly clean the kitchen. Take out the contents of the kitchen cabinets. Rinse them thoroughly inside and out with warm water and a disinfectant. As it is suitable vinegar essence, you can use a solution of Domestos. Wipe the kitchen cabinets, dry them, preferably during the day.

Cover newspapers with shelves where cereals will be stored. People say that printing ink repels bugs. Put bay leaf, cloves of garlic in the cabinets. You can use dry lavender flowers.

Buy new products in the store in small quantities. Pour them into hermetically sealed containers. For reinsurance, purchased cereals can be put for a day in the freezer of the refrigerator. As a folk remedy, you can try placing aluminum spoons in jars of bulk food products.
