If paint stains get on your clothing, try to remove them as soon as possible. The sooner you start, the greater the chance of a positive result. At home, you can remove stains using improvised means.

White spirit, refined gasoline, kerosene, turpentine, dishwashing liquid, stain remover, washing powder for stubborn stains, white clay, glycerin.

Use white spirit to remove stains from paint. Dampen a foam sponge or cloth in a solvent and wipe the contaminated area from the edges to the middle. Then wash clothes in warm water with powder for stubborn stains. Rinse and dry the product.

Refined gasoline and kerosene effectively remove paint stains, but in some cases can damage the material. Therefore, before use, apply a few drops of solvent to a seam or other inconspicuous place. If the color of the fabric has not changed, continue removing stains. Dip a cotton swab in the liquid and treat the contamination.

Oil paint can be removed using dishwashing detergents. It contains substances that break down fat molecules. Pour 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and a little water into a small container. Apply a mixture of foam rubber on the stain and gently process from the edges to the center.

Pour glycerin into a small container and heat in the microwave or in a water bath. Then apply on the paint stain and leave for 30-40 minutes. Wash clothes in warm water with a stain remover.

Turpentine does a good job with old paint stains. Moisten a cotton or gauze swab in a solvent and apply to a contaminated area for 15-20 minutes. After this time, wash the stain with dishwashing liquid or laundry soap.

To remove stains of paint from white fabrics, prepare the following mixture. Take in approximately equal proportions refined gasoline and white clay. Stir thoroughly until smooth. Put the paste on a contaminated place and leave for a while. When the gas has evaporated, take a clothes brush and brush off the clay. After you can wash your clothes as usual. If the stain could not be removed the first time, repeat the procedure again.
