A garage, usually a car, a motorcycle or other equipment, for which increased humidity and condensation can be fatal, is usually located. Therefore, as soon as you notice water droplets gathering on the wall or ceiling, immediately take measures to drain and try to completely get rid of the condensation in the garage.

Inspect the surfaces and determine the coldest places - usually condensation is collected on them in the garage (as their temperature is below the dew point). To see the whole picture in detail, use a thermograph to get a thermal photograph of your garage - so you can immediately see where the cold comes from.

Eliminate the source of the cold. If the cause is too thin a wall or ceiling, insulate the surfaces with mineral wool or polystyrene foam; You can use heat-insulating plaster or other materials depending on your financial capabilities. Dig the cracks with construction foam. Keep in mind that it is irrational and wrong to insulate a metal garage from the inside without an outer cover - the metal will simply rot. Therefore, cover it with siding or other protective material from the outside.

Provide good ventilation in the garage. If at the same time you do not have a ventilation hole, drill or hollow it in the external wall, mount a pipe with a diameter of 100 mm inside (using cement mortar). You can negotiate with a neighbor from above or below and stretch a pipe through the garage to the street. Install a heat gun in this pipe to keep heat in the garage, as well as a fan so that fresh air can effectively enter the garage.

Then provide a good extract. To do this, make a hole at the other end of the garage; at the same time, you can place the fans in opposite walls or corners (diagonally). Install a 3–5 fold hood so that the blower is sufficient for your conditions. Adjust the exhaust and supply fans so that optimal air exchange is ensured.

To ensure that the garage is not constantly ventilated, but periodically (in order to save energy), install timers on the fans and configure them as desired. It will be enough to air the room a few hours a day.
