People often hear noise and vibrations in their water pipes, which always indicates a malfunction in the system that supplies water to the apartment. These malfunctions must be resolved so that subsequently it is not necessary to change all the pipes. So how can you get rid of sound special effects in your plumbing system?

Causes of buzzing in pipes

The main reason that causes unpleasant sounds in water pipes is the turbulence of the water flow in the places of pipe narrowing. If the throughput of a certain section of the pipe has deteriorated as a result of the accumulation of rust or dirt, the pipe must be cleaned by shutting off the water supply, disconnecting the pipe and inserting a thick wire into the end of which is attached a “ruff” for cleaning the pipes.

If cleaning by this method cannot be performed or the problem is the internal influx of metal, the defective area will have to be cut out and replaced with a new one.

If the cause of the deterioration in the throughput of water pipes is poorly made threaded connections or getting into the pipe of the sealing gasket (winding material), you need to conduct a complete audit of the connections and, if a defect is detected, perform plumbing work again. In the case of poorly fixed pipes, a hum with vibration can be created in narrow areas, therefore, when checking the water system, it is necessary to check the reliability of its fastening.
