Even the smallest scratches can spoil the appearance of any plastic product, especially if they are located in a prominent place. To put in order your cell phone, laptop or car interior, it is not necessary to contact a specialist. You can try to get rid of scratches on the plastic yourself.
You will need
- - a damp cloth;
- - fine sandpaper;
- - primer for plastic;
- - dye for plastic products;
- - varnish.

Before removing scratches, rinse the product thoroughly or wipe it with a damp cloth. Then, with the smallest emery paper, get rid of intumescent paint, roughness and nicks.

Now soak a small piece of lint-free cloth in acetone or a special plastic cleaner. Wipe them thoroughly with a sanded surface. This is necessary in order to remove the dirt left by sandpaper.

Take a spray can with a special primer for plastic, shake it well and spray a little to the side to protect the plastic product from getting small unwanted lumps on its surface.

Apply the product on scratches from a distance of 20 cm. In doing so, move parallel to the surface of the part. First cover the damage with a thick primer, and then a thinner one. Allow the plastic surface to dry completely.

Then sand the primed surface again and wipe it with any cleaner. Now start painting the plastic with a special dye designed specifically for plastic products. Choose a shade of paint very carefully to avoid even the slightest discrepancy with the color of the damaged surface.

Paint the plastic first with one layer, and after 10-20 minutes - the second. For deep scratches, multilayer decorative coating may be required. Protect the still-dry part from dust and other contaminants. In case of unwanted smudges, immediately dispose of them with a damp cloth. Let the product dry for 1-2 hours.

If the scratched product is varnished, do not forget to apply the varnish on its surface with an even layer so as not to completely fill it.
