Many houses have cacti, but for some reason, domestic plants bloom extremely reluctantly. The reason for this phenomenon lies in improper care and insufficiently suitable conditions.

  • - Potassium phosphate;

  • - Fresh land.

Instruction manual

1

Finding a plant in a state of growth is what you need for flowering a cactus. Nevertheless, in most cases, flower growers keep cacti at home, surviving, not growing. Never use props when growing cactus. In this case, the plant's root system is significantly weakened, and it simply does not have enough strength for flowering.

2

Periodically transplant the cactus into fresh land and do not forget that this plant also requires watering. However, you should not use black soil or greenhouse soil for transplantation, since in this case the cactus will quickly “lazy”. Great damage to the plant preparing for flowering is caused by fertilizing with organic and mineral fertilizers. Do not forget that in vivo cactus grows in soil devoid of humus.

3

A plant older than 3 years is enough to transplant every 3-4 years. The nutrients found in fresh soil will be enough for him until the next transplant. The only thing that can be used is a solution of potassium phosphate, prepared from a liter of water and 1 gram of fertilizer. Do not overdo it! Feed with fertilizer only in early spring for a month at weekly intervals.

4

An indispensable condition for making a cactus bloom is proper wintering. If the plant can wait the winter in cool conditions, stopping growth for a while, it will probably bloom. In the winter months, summer growth matures, and buds also appear. You can notice them 30-50 days before flowering. Water the cactus from November to March no more than once a month.

5

In the summer, try to keep the cactus in the fresh air, but rather do not bring it into a stuffy room at night. Cacti respond very positively to nighttime temperature drops. This hardens the plant and prevents infection with a red tick. The amount of sunlight required for flowering depends on the type of cactus. Place the pot with the plant in direct sunlight and always turn the cactus towards the light on the same side. Changing lighting prevents bud growth.

note

Cactus flowering should be considered in combination with the other phases of its life. A common reason why a cactus does not bloom is a weak root system, a lack of growth in the fresh air, and a lack of rest.

Useful advice

In winter, the cactus must "rest". Otherwise, the depleted plant may die immediately after flowering.
